After you get saved, find a church that preaches the gospel. How do you know if a church is a bible believing, bible preaching church? The pastor will offer the plan of salvation in his sermons each Sunday. He will offer everyone an invitation, or altar call, to come forward to kneel at the altar and pray or to talk to a member of the church.
At the front of the church, at the altar, is where you can tell someone you want to get saved, get baptized or have a special prayer request, anything you need help with.Your new pastor will help by planning out when you can get baptized.
What does getting baptized mean? This is an exciting time! Invite family and friends. Getting baptized is a wonderful symbol of Jesus dying on the cross. As you are standing in the water before the congregation, your pastor will tell how Jesus died on the cross, shedding his blood for us and taking away our sins. Then as you are immersed under the water this shows Jesus being laid in the tomb. As you are brought up from the water this will tell of Jesus rising from the dead! Getting baptized is a wonderful way to share the plan of salvation!

Ephesians 6:10-18 Put On The Armor Of God
10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.
11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;
15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.
17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:
18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;
Powerful Verses to help you begin to clean up your life because people watch what we do after getting saved. People are curious and will wonder why you seem different, happier. Why would they want to accept Jesus as their Lord and Savior if we still carry on our old life doing things Jesus would not do! WWJD stands for What Would Jesus Do! Remember we are human, not perfect and will definitely make mistakes, but in prayer, asking for forgiveness, giving everything to the Lord in prayer begins steps to putting our faith in Him, trying our best and moving forward.
