Jennifer J New is a genre-blending storyteller moving between dark poetry, memoirs and narrative fiction. One passion she works into her daily routine is searching through family trees untangling ancestral mysteries. Jennifer’s niche is a perfect fit as Family History Narrative as she finds that many stories are lost in time.
The Death Owl Poems & Reflections is her published work of dark poems with a bit of whimsy and love. This book works best in a gothic mystery feel with the night owl gathering stories and keeping them safe in her beak. The Death Owl has stories of the young and old but you can read about her here The Death Owl Poems & Reflections by Jennifer J. New.
Little House in the Big Woods, in the Laura Ingalls series, began Jennifer’s love for reading. When looking for a good book or poem to read, her searches begin in genealogical mystery, gothic and cozy mysteries and domestic suspense.
Jennifer has a passion for writing. Crumbling mansions, hidden staircases, diaries found in the floorboards of an old home draw her in to the creepy dark scenes developing on the pages. Jennifer loves visiting cemeteries, gathering stories and bringing ancestors to life.
She is an advocate for survivors of mental and physical abuse and wants to provide a safe space for adult adoptees while they visit her site.
Jennifer has spent several years listening traveling and researching for her upcoming book DONNA JEAN. This is a special story giving voice to her mom and detailing her mom’s strength and resilience living as an adopted child in an abusive household.
