Tears and scars, fear and pain. When writing about a child’s abusive life you feel their sorrow so deep inside your heart. Anger fills your soul. Out of the blue the pain can resurface. Feelings of not belonging, not being loved haunt her. This is a photo that is precious. A rare smile. This is my mom and I am writing a biography of the hidden abuse she endured till she met and married my dad.
