Cancer. My dad’s grandma and sister had Breast Cancer. Mom and dad took care of my grandma . Grandma didn’t believe in doctors or taking medicine. She was a Christian Scientist and believed we were not really here and she wasn’t really sick. One word my dad always feared his whole life was Cancer. A Glimpse of Devastation
The Village Our family site is http://newohanafarmtn.com and I posted a brief post of A Glimpse of Devastation. I really enjoyed writing ~The Village~ poem found in my new poem book, The Death Owl available soon! The character is excellent at drawing you in to sit with her on the warm cobblestone street. You want her to feel the warmth from those stones but as you continue to read, you realize she never will. As she looks around at their once beautiful village, she makes you see what was beautiful in love and laughter. She helps you see the devastation and doom and leads you into her tomb.
